No matter what business or project I am involved in, whatever country I live in, I have always been teaching English since my student days at the Faculty of Foreign Languages at the Pedagogical University. Therefore, my teaching experience is already more than 20 years.
My students were three-year-old kids and retired adults, teenagers and businessmen, doctors and politicians. Undoubtedly, everyone has his own goals, the tasks are different, the approach to each of my students is special, there is no single recipe. Each new student is a challenge for myself, whether I can inspire this person to learn a foreign language, infect them with my love to the English language, find the words that are necessary to this person.
I love foreign languages, to teach English means to share a piece of my love, my soul. As a rule, my sincere desire to help always resonates with my students, very often we become good friends. No matter how old my student is, we are always friends, I’m just a person who wants to help.
I am often asked what age a child should start to learn English, or any other foreign language. My answer is from the age of three. The baby’s task is to form at least a good positive perception of a foreign language, to feel the melody and rhythm. Therefore, often lessons with kids are songs, games, and again songs, then letters, “secrets” of turning letters. When my little students at the end of the hour lesson do not want to leave and ask for continuation, I feel joy and satisfaction of the fact that I am doing everything right, that the teaching methodology is chosen correctly. Thank you, my dear students, for opening up the linguistic picture of the world to me, giving real pleasure from contacting with something new, unknown.
